The overarching theme for this year's NAEA Convention was Change, which seems like a very appropriate theme for the times in which we are all living currently. I shared during a Middle Level Medley my own thoughts on how my approaches have changed over the last few years since I have relocated from Texas to Virginia. My change has been in response to the diverse community in which I teach and striving to develop lessons that are multicultural, cross-curricular and promote literacy through reading, writing and speaking in art.
